KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Rabi Lamichhane-led Swatantra Party has decided not to contest in the upcoming provincial level elections.
The party will only be contesting in the election of the House of Representatives (HoR).
“This time we will only be filing candidacy under the direct and proportional election system for the HoR,” Lamichhane said.
The general election is scheduled for November 20 later this year.
Popular television presenter Rabi Lamichhane has announced he will contest in the forthcoming federal elections.
