Banks will not raise interest rates next month: NBA
KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Nepali commercial banks have decided not to increase interest rates for next one month citing the current situation in the country’s financial market and soaring inflation.
KATHMANDU, March 9: The interest rate of bank loans will be decreased by 1 percent starting March 15, 2023. The meeting of the Nepal Bankers Association (NBA), an organization of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of commercial banks decided to implement a decrease in interest rates.
KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Commercial banks of Nepal are likely to reduce the existing interest rates on deposits from Sunday, the beginning of the new Nepali month, after the banks were replenished with surplus liquidity.
