KATHMANDU, May 22: Balen Shah, independent mayoral candidate for Kathmandu metropolis, is continuously leading the vote count.
As of 8:30 AM this morning, Shah has garnered 37,944 votes while his nearest contender of Nepali Congress, Srijana Singh has secured 21,224 votes.
Likewise, Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML is in third position with 20,704 votes.
Sunita Dangol, deputy mayoral candidate of UML garnered 37,846 votes maintaining a lead while her nearest contender Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) has collected 13,205 votes.
