Earthquake kills six in Sudurpaschim Province

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: An earthquake of 6.6 magnitude rocked the Sudurpaschim Province on Tuesday night at 2:12 am killing six people and destroying around a dozen of houses, according to the District Police Office, Doti. Five more people have been injured. The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at Doti-based Khaptad National Park. The deceased have been identified as Bagwati Bohora, Sita Bohora, Harka Bohora, Prem Bohora, Tulsi Bohora and Dhansari Bohoro of Purbachauki Rural Municipality-3. Teams of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed in the area for the search and rescue missions. Earlier, an earthquake of 5.7 magnitude with its epicenter at Dipayal was recorded at 9:07 pm on the same day.
