Nepal Police Cyber Bureau arrests Sharmila Waiba, charges her of making false and uncontrollable statements on YouTube

The Nepal Police Cyber Bureau has arrested a woman for allegedly murdering a character on YouTube. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Navinda Aryal, a spokesperson for the Bureau, said Sharmila Waiba, a 30-year-old resident of Tarkeshwor Municipality-10 in Kathmandu, was arrested on the charge of making false and uncontrollable statements through Celeb Nepal and Alone Media Channel. She was apprehended by Chitwan police with the assistance of the Khairhani Area Police Office last Friday (18th of March, 2022). She was apprehended and taken to Kathmandu. SSP Aryal stated that the Kathmandu District Court is conducting the investigation after extending the time limit by seven days due to her violation of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063 BS.
