NC's Nidhi announces candidacy for party president

KATHMANDU, November 25: Vice-President of Nepali Congress (NC), the ruling party of Nepal, Bimalendra Nidhi has announced his candidacy for the post of party’s President in the upcoming 14th General Convention of the party. Nidhi announced his candidacy on Thursday amid an event at his office at New Baneshwar, Kathmandu. So far as many as eight leaders excluding Nidhi have announced their candidacy for the post of party’s President. They include Prime Minister and President of NC, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Senior Leader Ram Chandra Poudel, Former Vice-President, Gopal Man Shrestha, General Secretary Shashank Koirala, Former General Secretaries duo Prakashman Singh and Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Central Committee member, Shekar Koirala and Kalyan Gurung. Presenting his candidature, Nidhi also made public his manifesto.
