KATHMANDU, May 17: Balen Shah, an independent candidate for the post of the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of Wednesday morning.
Balne is leading the vote count with 12,879 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 6,990 votes.
Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 6,129 votes.
So far votes for wards 1, 2, 3 and 5 have already been counted, according to the poll body. Likewise, votes for wards 4, 6, 7, 29, 30, 31 and 32 are currently underway.
