Powerful 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Vanuatu; No Immediate Damage Reported

Port Vila, Vanuatu.  The island nation of Vanuatu, located in the Pacific Ocean region, was shaken by a powerful earthquake on Saturday. Although the 6.4 magnitude earthquake was strongly felt, no reports of human or physical damage have been received so far.According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) west of the village of Port Olry on Espiritu Santo Island.
