Kathmandu. Nepali Congress rebel candidate Baburam Acharya has withdrawn his candidacy. Acharya had filed a rebel candidacy after failing to secure the ticket for Kathmandu Constituency No. 1.Prabal Thapa is contesting from Kathmandu-1 for the Nepali Congress. Acharya stated that he withdrew his candidacy to support Thapa following consultation with Nepali Congress leaders and workers at the ward, constituency, district, and provincial levels, as well as discussions with Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa.He stated,
