FNJ UK gets new leadership

LONDON, June 14: The UK chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has got a new leadership with Dhrubaraj Aryal as a chair. The election held on Sunday picked the new leadership.  Correspondent of Annapurna Post and editor of nepalilink.com Dhrubaraj Aryal and journalist for wenepali.com Shyam Luitel were in the race for leadership.  Among other office-bearers elected are Diensh Pariyar (senior vice-president), Narendra Basnet (general secretary), Shiva Bhandari (vice-president), Prameela Labung Rai (women vice-president), Manju Bhandari and Khemraj Ranabhat (secretary), SK Gurung (treasurer) and Surendra Ingnam (co-treasurer).  Goma Rana, Narendra Nembang and Jayaram Tamang were unanimously elected as members of FNJ UK committee.  As the election could not take place face-to-face due to COVID-19 pandemic, members had sent their ballot through postal mechanism. Some 38 members had participated in the election.
