14 killed in flash floods in Morocco
Heavy rainfall and flash floods have killed at least 14 people and injured 32 others in Morocco's Atlantic coastal Province of Safi, local authorities said in a statement on Sunday.The floods were triggered by intense thunderstorms that struck the province within the span of about one hour, inundating dozens of homes and businesses, the statement said.According to an earlier report by the state news agency MAP, around 70 homes and businesses in the city of Safi were flooded, while 10 vehicles were swept away by the torrents.
