Supreme Court issues order to release French serial killer Charles Sobhraj

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued an order to release French serial killer Charles Sobhraj.  A joint bench of Justice Sapna Pradan Malla and Til Prasad Shrestha issued the order to this effect. The apex court has maintained that Sobhraj has already undergone 75 percent of his total sentencing and has displayed good moral character during this period.  Similarly, the court has also ordered to release Sobhraj as soon as possible and deport him to his home country within 15 days of his release if he is not liable to be in custody for other cases.  Sobhraj was in custody on the charge of murdering two foreign tourists in 2060 Ashoj 1 B.S.
