Vehicular movement banned after 8PM in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Public and private vehicles will be barred from plying in the Kathmandu Valley after 8 pm beginning Thursday in view of COVID-19 risk. However, vehicles for essential services are allowed to operate 24 hours.  The prohibition order has been extended until August 24 coming into effect from today. A meeting of Chief District Officers of three districts in the Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) took a decision in this regard.  Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population has warned of a third wave of the infection.
