This is the firast meeting of parliament after ratifying the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to present the annual report of the National Information Commission.
Likewise, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale is scheduled to present ‘Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill, 2076’.
Meanwhile, the main opposition party, CPN-UML has obstructed the House proceedings.
KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to table the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) in the next parliament scheduled for Wednesday.
The party took the decision through a parliamentary party meeting held on Tuesday, according to a key NC leader.
The $500 million grant of the United States of America has been a major political issue in recent days.
So far, the NC is the only political party that has openly advocated to ratify the compact through parliament while the CPN( Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have been opposing the MCC in its existing form.
Likewise, the main opposition party, CPN-UML has not made any position regarding the compact yet.
KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) summoned for Sunday has been postponed.
According to the parliament sources, the meeting has put-off for January 6.
KATHMANDU, September 11: Finance Minister on Friday introduced a new budget despite obstructions from lawmakers of the main opposition party CPN (UML).
UML has been obstructing both sessions of parliament, stating that the speaker refused to remove 14 lawmakers who faced action from the party.

KATHMANDU, May 10: Lawmakers close to a faction of the ruling CPN-UML's senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have decided not to resign immediately.
A meeting of the lawmakers of the faction, which was held on Monday morning, decided not to join today’s meeting of parliament which is scheduled to vote on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s confidence motion. According to Bhim Rawal, a leader of the faction, as many as 22 lawmakers will skip the special session of the House of Representatives (HoR).
