Biplav cadre arrested on charge of planting ‘bomb’ in front of parliament building

KATHMANDU, March 2: The police have arrested a youth on the charge of planting ‘bomb’ in front of the federal parliament building. The arrestee has been identified as Subash Mahat, a cadre of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (Biplav), according to SSP Basanta Kuwar of the Metropolitan Crime Division. Following the ratification of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact by parliament, a ‘bomb’ was planted in front of the federal parliament building. The ‘explosive’ was later defused by the Nepal Army.
