FNCCI seeks loan repayment holiday extension for businesses battered by COVID-19

KATHMANDU, July 9: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has sought the deferral of loan repayment to banks and financial institutions (BFIs) until the economy returns to normality.

SURUNGA, September 16: Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has said that the FNCCI, as the umbrella organisation of all the traders, entrepreneurs and industrialists of the country, was taking initiatives for resolving the problems in this sector. Inaugurating the 33rd annual general meeting of the Urlabari Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), Morang, he said the Federation was taking initiatives for announcement of relief package by the government for the revival of the trade and industry sector which has been hit hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The senior vice-president also reiterated that FNCCI has been continuously working for the larger interest of the entire business community including the women entrepreneurs. Five outstanding industrialists of Urlabari and a journalist were honoured on the occasion. The AGM will elect a new leadership. Election is being held for 16 various posts and 33 persons are in the fray, Urlabari Chamber of Commerce and Industry's president Pritam Khadgi said. UCCI has 1,702 members.
