KATHMANDU, March 31: The government has decided to introduce an ordinance related to acid attack and sexual violence.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday morning took a decision in this regard, according to Birod Kathiwada, Minister for Health and Population (MoHP).
“After, the ordinance introduced by the erstwhile government has gone inactive, the present government is scheduled to introduce it once again as the government is facing challenges in taking action against those found guilty in acid attacks and sexual violence,” Minister Kathiwada said.

JANAKPURDHAM, August 26: Province 2 government has provided financial assistance to acid-attack victim Arati Sah.
The government provided Rs 500 thousand to Sah. Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut handed over the cheque for the amount to the victim as per his announcement to provide support to victim Sah after the incident.
