DSP KC dies of COVID-19

KATHMANDU, May 20: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raj Kumar KC has succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  DSP KC, who was undergoing treatment at the Nepal Police Hospital after contracting the virus, passed away on Thursday morning. He tested positive for the virus on May 5. KC was stationed at the Metropolitan POlice Range, Kathmandu of late.

Four people succumb to COVID-19 in Lumbini Province

BUTWAL, April 18: As many as four people have succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Lumbini Province on Saturday evening in just five hours.  According to Satya Narayan Thapa, DSP at the District Police Office, Rupandehi, a 65-year-old female from Mayadavi Rural Municipality-5, Rupandehi, who was admitted to a medical college in Bhairahawa, breathed her last at 5:50 PM.  Similarly, a 73-year-old male of Bardiya’s Rajpur Rural Municipaliyt-1 passed away at 7:40 PM while another woman (aged 78) of Baijnath Rural Municpality-8 died around 9 PM on Saturday while undergoing treatment at COVID-19 ward of Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. Likewise, a 68-year-old woman from Narayan Rural Municipality-1, Dailekh also succumbed to the disease in the course of treatment at the same hospital.

COVID-19: 213 people in quarantines in Syanjga

SYANGJA, March 27: A total of 213 individuals have stayed in self and home quarantine in Syangja district, the officials confirmed. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Syangja Nabin Krishna Bhandari said that those 213 people living in quarantines had returned from different countries after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
