KATHMANDU, May 13: Preparations for vote counting are currently underway across the country. Ballot boxes are being collected for the vote count. Upendra Yadav leads vote count in Bara 2

The vote count is underway for the by-election in constituency no 2 of the Bara district. The Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yadav, is leading the vote count till 7:00 am.

Kathmandu-1: Rabindra Mishra leading the vote count

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Rabindra Mishra, a candidate of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is currently leading the vote count in Kathmandu-1. As per the latest update, Mishra is leading the vote count with 2,416 votes followed by his nearest contender Prakash Man Singh of Nepali Congress with 2,302 votes. Likewise, Kiran Poudel of CPN-UML has garnered 1,155 votes while Pukar Bam of Rastriya Swatantra Party has collected 1,365 votes. Likewise, Ramesh Kharel has garnered 1,066 votes.

KMC Mayor Race: Balen's lead in vote count continues

KATHMANDU, May 17:  Balen Shah, an independent candidate for the post of the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of 2 PM, Tuesday. Balne is leading the vote count with 11,434 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 6,026 votes. Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 5,176 votes.

KMC Mayor: Balen leading the vote count

KATHMANDU, May 14: Balen Shah, an independent candidate for the post of the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count. Balne is leading the vote count with 402 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 319 votes. Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 202 votes. Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) got 53 votes and Bibeksheel Sajha Party collected 35 votes.

EC to virtually monitor vote count in upcoming local polls

KATHMANDU, March 24: The Election Commission will be monitoring the vote count virtually in the upcoming local level elections. The poll body will be monitoring the vote count through a video live in some of the high political and sensitive zones. “There will be virtual monitoring in areas identified as sensitive by the poll body and security bodies during the vote count,” said Surya Prasad Aryal, deputy spokesperson of the commission. “The commission will be monitoring the vote count in such areas directly and resolve the issues, if any, immediately,” he further said. Besides, the poll body has decided to mobilize a special Information Technology (IT) team to monitor the social media platforms during the election. “If anyone is found misusing the platforms, disseminating misinformation regarding the elections, defaming any individuals or making negative comments, actions will be taken against it,” said Aryal.

KATHMANDU: Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma are leading the vote count for the two general secretarial positions of the Nepali Congress (NC).  The voting for the NC executive committee was held on Monday.  Here is the vote count tally  Votes counted: 2,120  Gagan Thapa: 1,385 Bishwo Prakash Sharma: 851 Prakash Sharan Mahat: 698 Minendra Rijal: 365 Rajaram Karki: 59
