Woman Arrested in Kathmandu for Alleged Unjust Transaction
Kathmandu. Police have arrested Shanti Tiwari on charges of involvement in an unjust transaction. SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range Kathmandu told Ratopati that the 53-year-old Tiwari, originally from Nawalparasi (Susta East) and residing in Kathmandu, was arrested from Shanti Nagar.Police arrested her on Falgun 28 on charges of committing an offense related to unjust transactions. Five victims, including Nabina Shahi, filed a complaint against her with the police.The victims told the police that Tiwari demanded 1 crore 4 lakh rupees after investing 57 lakh rupees and used intimidation tactics. The song recording for the upcoming Nepali film 'Kalakatti', being produced under the banner of Raghuji Films, has been completed. Popular singer Samikshya Adhikari has lent her voice to the song.The song was recorded at the DBHD Studio in the capital.
