Writ petition against Kulman's re-appointment: Supreme Court orders to furnish case file within three days

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Hearing the writ petition filed by the outgoing managing director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Hitendra Dev Shakya,  the Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to furnish the case file within next three days.  A single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, on Tuesday, issued such an order to produce an original copy of appointment letter of Shyaka as the specialist of the Water and Energy Commission, Cabinet’s decision to appoint Kul Man Ghising as NEA managing director, decision of 869th meeting of NEA board of directors and contract letter between Shakya and NEA.  The government appointed Ghising as the managing director of NEA for the second term, on August 11. Five days after his transfer to the Energy Commission, Shakya filed the writ petition demanding his reinstatement.  See the order:
