Snowfall cripples life in Jumla

Snowfall caused discontinuation of electricity forcing local people to live in the dark, said a local resident, Karna Buda. Utility poles and wires at many places are damaged in the disaster, said Naresh Rawal, chief of the Jumla distribution center, Nepal Electricity Authority, adding that it, as a result, affected around 3,500 customers. Electricity supply would resume after repairing the damaged utility poles and wires once the weather becomes clear, he said.
