Afghan Authorities Destroy Over 27 Tons of Narcotics in Kandahar
Kabul. Officials stated on Wednesday that more than 27 tons of narcotics have been destroyed in the southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan over the past five months.According to the provincial police spokesman, Mullah Asadullah Jamshed, the seized narcotics included 2,766 kilograms of opium, 9,664 kilograms of methamphetamine, 993 kilograms of hashish, one kilogram of heroin, and 100 kilograms of raw materials used in other illegal drugs.The destruction took place in the Tora area of Arghandab district under the supervision of a committee representing senior provincial departments.Previously, the province's Anti-Narcotics Unit had destroyed an additional 47,000 kilograms of various narcotics under...
