PM Deuba and Indian PM Modi hold meeting in Glasgow
The Prime Minister duo held the meeting on the sideline of the World Leaders' Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) being held in Glasgow.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made an official visit to Lumbini today at the invitation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti.
KATHMANDU, May 16: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Lumbini, Nepal and visited the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti on Monday.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba welcomed his Indian counterpart at Lumbini this morning.
PM Modi-led Indian delegation comprises foreign secretary, joint-secretaries of ministry of external affairs and Kathmandu-based Charge d' affaires of Indian Embassy Namgya Khampa.
A bilateral meeting between PM Deuba and his Indian counterpart Modi to be held on Monday afternoon would focus on the construction of hydropower projects, development of physical infrastructure of Nepal and expansion of connectivity.

KATHMANDU, July 19: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended congratulations and best wishes to Sher Bahadur Deuba on being appointed the Prime Minister of Nepal.
The Indian PM took to the social media to extend best wishes to his Nepali counterpart for successful tenure immediately after PM Deuba gained vote of confidence in the reinstated House of Representatives.
Modi in his congratulatory message stated that he was looking forward to collaborating with Prime Minister Deuba to further consolidate the unique partnerships of Nepal and India in all sectors and strengthen the deep-rooted people-to-people ties
Meanwhile, PM Deuba in a tweet extended his thanks to his Indian counterpart for the congratulations and best wishes. Deuba also expressed willingness to work in close relations with his Indian counterpart to strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and India.
Nepali Congress President Deuba received the vote of trust in the lower House on Sunday evening.
