Chand-led NCP positive on forging electoral alliance with UML in Sudurpaschim

KATHMANDU, April 5: Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party is positive in forging an electoral alliance with the main opposition party, CPN-UML in the upcoming local level elections in Sudurpaschim Province. The party has also begun discussions in this regard.  The two parties are preparing to forge an electoral alliance as per the local needs. According to Om Prakash Pun, central committee member of NCP, discussions are underway as the UML leaders have proposed forging an electoral alliance. “The parties have yet to make an official decision,” he added. The ruling coalition of Nepali Congress, CPN( Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha Party have already decided to forge an electoral alliance in the upcoming local level election.
