A large loss of life and property has occurred in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading due to an avalanche near the Nepal-China border on Bhadra 10 and the subsequent devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers. Significant damage has also been caused to the 216 MW Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project, under construction in the Haku area of Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality-1 and in Uttargaya Rural Municipality-1 of Rasuwa district, due to the floods.
