Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' today reached Shahid Memorial at Lainchaur in Kathmandu and laid a wreath there on the occasion of the Martyrs' Day.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said the martyrs who fought for nationality, people's rights and livelihood are torchbearers and sources of inspiration.
"I agree with your demand that Lakhan Thapa, a revolutionary leader who rose from the local level against the ruler's extreme tyranny, to declare a national hero. I understand recognizing Thapa as a national hero will be respect for all martyrs and that of the political warriors in the revolutionary struggle of the country," said PM Prachanda.
