Corona patients to receive free treatment at these 30 private hospitals, medical colleges

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government will provide free treatment to corona patients at thirty different private hospitals and medical colleges across the country. Assistant spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari said that the ministry signed agreements with 30 private hospitals and medical colleges in seven provinces to provide treatment free of cost to the corona patients.  As per the agreement, the ministry will provide Rs 3,500 per patient per day for isolation facilities, Rs 7,000 per person for the treatment of moderately complicated cases and Rs 15,000 per person for treatment in ICUs and ventilators. The hospitals signing the agreement with the ministry are required to submit the cost details of the treatment to the ministry. Check the list Province 1 1. Some private hospitals to face music for collecting exorbitant fees

KATHMANDU, May 6: Ministry of Health and Population has announced to take action against the private hospitals if they charge high fees on COVID-19 patients for their treatment.  The Ministry’s statement comes at a time when some private hospitals were found charging exorbitant fees from the patients.   Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari on Wednesday said that such hospitals would be punished on the basis of complaints received at the Ministry and local administration.     The Ministry’s serious attention was drawn to the act of giving unwanted stress and aggravating problems instead of extending services to one another in this time of pandemic, according to the statement released by Adhikari.   The Ministry has also warned to the wrongdoers not to carry out such activities.
