Landslide causes traffic disruptions in Helambu Highway
The Narayanghat-Mugling road stretch has witnessed traffic disruptions due to a massive landslide that occurred at Setidobhan area at 8.20 pm last night following heavy rain.

According District Police Office, Chitwan, the landslide, that occurred around noon has obstructed vehicles along the Kathmandu-Muglin road section.

HELAMBU, September 6: Incessant rain-triggered landslides in different parts of Melamchi municipality 12 and 13 disrupted the Helambu Highway.
Road traffic has been obstructed after continuous landslide in Melamchi-12 Bahunepati and Fatakshila of 13 Melamchi-Jirokilo road section since last night.
Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Melamchi, Tikaram Rai shared that the electricity service has also been disrupted in several places, including Melamchi Bazaar after an electric pole collapsed.
Police said road traffic would be brought to normalcy clearing off the debris only after the rain ended and also urged the public to use alternative route.
MUGLIN, July 12: Landslide has again disrupted the Narayangadh-Muglin road section.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the two-way road traffic has come to halt since 4.45 this morning after landslide occurred at Ichhakamana rural municipality-6 in Chitwan.
Landslide debris is still rolling down off the cliff, shared spokesperson of District Police Office, Chitwan DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa. Efforts are underway to clear off the road and resume traffic operations by 9.00 am today, he informed.
